Portugal lifts Euro 2016

Portugal won their first European Championship 1-0 at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis . The win marks their first final victory at a major tournament. Portugal become the 10th different European nation to win the competition.

Portugal ended their 10-game losing streak against France. Their last win over Les Bleus was in a friendly match in 1975.

Europe is going for a digital single market which integreates 28 national markets in to single one. The European Commission has now presented a plan that consists of three parts. The plan consists of three measures: tackling geoblocking, making cross-order parcel delivery more affordable and efficient and promoting customer trust.

Students performance tracker

The Union HRD Minister is planning to launch the new scheme Shaala ASMITA, an acronym for All School Monitoring Individual Tracking and Analysis.

This scheme will be helpful to track the academic performance of school children across the country and also identify the dropouts.  Under this online system, data related to all schools will be collected with the assistance of local and state administration and their performance will be monitored, official sources said. It is a simple process under which the Aadhaar number or a specially generated number will be used to track a child's progress, officials said.
